Welcome to Springfield Township Blog

As they say, "life is better by the lake." Here in Springfield Township, we offer a quiet, peaceful town with kind-hearted people. Springfield Lake is in the middle of the township and within our boundaries is the Village of Lakemore.

The area was once the summer home to tire company executives and many others. Cottages dotted the lake shore, screams of excitement were once heard from the amusement park that had existed. The historic roller rink is still in existence. There was a boat cruising for dancing at night. There is a deep, rich history in this township.

Today, the life in Springfield is relaxing and the township hosts free concerts, and other events along the shore of the lake.

Those that visit will find restaurants, shopping and hometown businesses. Come visit, stay awhile, sit by the lake and contemplate, read a book or throw in a hook.

In this blog we will provide residents, potential residents, and visitors with information on the township, events, people, businesses and more. Come back often and read the latest!
