Springfield Local Schools to receive funding to encourage reusable water bottles

Springfield Local Schools has been chosen as only one of 94 schools, districts, and diocese throughout Ohio to be awarded a grant through the Ohio Environnmental Protection Agency (EPA). This valuable grant will purchase 9 water bottle filling stations and retro-fit one existing fountain to make it a filling station.

The EPA grant covers the cost of the equipment.

Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the schools explained that the filling stations benefit the environment by encouraging reusable water bottles, which will reduce waste in landfills.

Congratulations Springfield Schools!

Homeward Bound is important in Springfield and Lakemore

Alex sat in for The Trustees workshop Thursday. He represents so many dogs in need of adoption.   Please consider adopting a fur baby, fostering or making a donation to your favorite rescue. (Lakemore Dogs Homeward Bound comes to mind). Lakemore Homeward Bound is located at the Lakemore Police Station and a safe place for officers to bring found dogs in the village and township while police and volunteers work to find the lost doggies home.

Shelters are busting at the seams and dogs and cats are coming in at record rates. Now more than ever they need our help.

You can also add Lakemore Dogs as your charity on Amazon (sign in on Amazon smile). Everytime you make a purchase a portion is donated.
