On December 31, 2023, at 0128 hours I was
dispatched to 2911 East Waterloo Road for a fight in
progress. A Lakemore Police Officer Ukleja was working a side detail at Spins
Bowl Akron stated there was a fight in progress and that he needed help. Upon
arrival he was pointing at a male wearing orange and stated that he was
involved and needed him. At this
time, I detained that male who had ignored commands and walked all
the way to the Marc’s
parking lot. The male was then identified as Deangelo Minter and he was placed in the back of a cruiser. The
other male involved was identified as Walter Jones. The Lakemore Police Officer Ukleja
stated that he heard Mr. Jones and Mr. Minter fighting in the parking lot and
making threats to each other. Both parties were issued a summons for DOC
fighting and released to a sober adult. |

signal and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon
making contact with the driver, Jeffrey Welsh, he was found to be the owner.
Mr. Welsh
stated he did not have any financial responsibility.
I could immediately recognize the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the
vehicle. Mr Welsh stated he had several marijuana cigarettes and pipes in the
vehicle. Mr. Welsh was requested to step out of the vehicle. Upon performing
a search of his person, a plastic bag containing approximately 2 grams of Marijuana was located in his back pocket. Upon performing a probable
cause search of the vehicle, a folded piece
of tin foil was
located sitting on the drivers seat. The foil contained approximately
.5 grams of a white crystal substance. Mr. Welsh was detained and read
his Miranda Rights. Mr. Welsh stated the substance would test positive for Methamphetamine . Mr. Welsh was fingerprinted and |

On January
1, 2024, I (Ofc. B. Mars)
observed a vehicle driving southbound on S. Arlington Rd. with multiple items
hanging from the rear-view mirror and a GPS unit on the dashboard, obstructing the
driver's view. I initiated a traffic stop. The driver pulled into the parking
lot of the Red Roof Inn. I made contact with the driver, Kevin Maurice Knight,
advised him of the reason for
the stop, and asked him for his driver's
license and proof of insurance. Knight was
unable to produce either, but he provided me with his social security number. After running him through
LEADS, I discovered that Knight was subject to an active license forfeiture and did not have
driving privileges. I then informed Knight that he was being detained because he had been driving
with a suspended license. Knight became argumentative and initially refused to step out of the
vehicle. After arguing for about
a minute, Knight stepped out of the |

complied with officers' orders to sit in the back of the cruiser. During a search of the vehicle, incident to arrest a
piece of foil containing less than one gram of a
white, powdery substance was located inside of a backpack belonging to Knight. This item was seized and will be sent to BCI for testing. Knight
was issued a citation for driving under suspension and given a verbal warning for obstructed view in a
motor vehicle. Further
charges may be forthcoming pending BCI test
results. |

On January 1, 2024, I was dispatched to 2011
Royal Oak Drive regarding an unwanted subject. Upon arriving, I spoke with
Karla Williams. Williams informed me that her estranged husband, Kyle Lawless
had been messaging her on the Our Family Wizard app regarding him picking up
their daughter from Williams's house. She told me that Lawless told her he was there to pick up their daughter
and that it was his court-
appointed time to do so. When Williams did not respond right |

away,
Lawless reportedly began yelling, kicking, and banging on the door.
She told me that Lawless did
not make any threats of physical violence, but that he said he
was going to "make [her] life hell in court." Williams then
reportedly allowed their juvenile daughter to leave with Lawless. Williams said that her doorbell camera
recorded Lawless arriving and
leaving, but that
it did not capture him banging on the door. Williams
stated that she did not wish to pursue criminal charges against Lawless
at this time, but that she would like the incident documented. I told her that I would create a matter-of-
record report and then provided her with the report number. I also encouraged her to
document any further incidents for use in court. This report
is for documentation only. |

cellphone and note tablet in her bedroom. Cooke
stated that she told her
grandson to get off the electronic
devices and that is when her grandson told her that there were demons inside him telling
him to push her to get the demons out of her.
Cooke stated that her grandson pushed her, causing her to fall. Cooke stated
that she was not injured. Cooke stated that her grandson then fled
outside in the 30- degree weather with just shorts and a t-shirt on. Springfield Fire Department was called for a lift assist for Cooke. Springfield officers were canvassing the area to look for
the juvenile. Approximately
a half an hour later, the juvenile returned home. STFD was called again to
assess the juvenile due to the low temperature
outside. STFD called Akron Children's
Hospital and stated they
did not have to see the
juvenile. The juvenile is autistic and has ADHD. He is currently prescribed multiple |

On January
2nd, 2024, I was on a detail at 2887 South Arlington Road (Walmart). A female associate came to me to report a incident that
occurred this morning. She stated a customer came in to return
a tree at around 0855 hours. At first
a manager said they couldn't return
the item but then he found out he could. During the return the unknown male
became frustrated and threw the small Christmas tree at the associate. Upon
review of the video the tree
did not hit the associate. It went between her and another associate. The associate requested a report
be made to have record of the incident. |

was evident
that Anthony was intoxicated and was not making sense. At times Anthony
stated that he wanted officers to kill him like the Akron officers killed his
brother. He was also making statements that he wanted officers to fight him. Springfield
Twp Fire department was dispatched to come evaluate Anthony and check out his knuckles. During this time
dispatch also contacted the Canton Police Department to make contact with Anthony's girlfriend. Canton PD informed us that his Girlfriend checks
okay and denied any fight. She also stated that Anthony has been drinking
today. Upon the fire department’s arrival, Anthony declined any medical
attention. Due to Anthony's statements and his behavior, it was determined that
he was unable to care
for himself and posed a risk of self-harm. He was pink
slipped and transported by officers to Summa Akron City Hospital where
he continued to threaten officers, passively resist and at times was combative. |

room (room 122) it was
apparent that an individual was inside the room, however no one would answer
the door. After a short period around 1301

John Kafka
initially signaled to go north on Massillon Rd, but while
in the left turn lane, he decided to turn south on Massillon Rd,
resulting in a turn and stop signal violation, as well as a marked lanes violation. I
initiated a traffic stop on the truck and identified the owner as the driver,
who was under indictment for a felony drug possession case from 11/24/2023
within our agency. John Kafka
informed me that he had a loaded firearm on his person, and I advised him to
keep his hands up and away from the firearm. Subsequently,
I asked John to step out of the
vehicle due to the loaded firearm. When questioned about the contents of the vehicle, John
stated there was nothing else. Requesting consent to search, John declined. I then brought
